Our company offers a complimentary site survey to all our new customers. However should you wish to gain a deeper and more analytical understanding of your playing surface we can offer the following:

Clegg Compression testing for synthetic surfaces

Clegg Hammer testing allows you to obtain key data on the drainage and play qualities of your surface. The test pin-points compacted areas and reveals how responsive the infill is in terms of elasticity.

We find that brushing alone does little to alleviate compaction and the Clegg hammer test offers empirical measurements which identify levels of compaction over the whole playing surface - heavily compacted areas normally being base line (tennis) and goal line areas (football & hockey). Through identifying and acting on the results given, we can tackle play characteristic and drainage issues through correct maintenance procedures.

Munro Slip testing for hard and rubber surfaces.

This equipment gives a slip resistant/ traction reading on the half moon dial. This reading occurs when the shoe is released from a set height. The lower the reading the more slippy/ dangerous the playing surface. The equipment gives professional readings that can be used to explain why accidents have occurred and helps with identification of when a sports surface requires retexturing.

Pile height depth and our assessment on the life of the surface.

Using a Floor Test FT50 probe we can measure the pile height, giving you the life expectancy of the carpet and an appreciation of the infill levels.
