Rocks Lane Community Sports Centre

The community sports facility had a 2,500 m2 hard standing tarmac area that was dormant and under used. This was identified as a suitable relocation site for the reclaimed grass from Xtraction. The facility requirements were that the reclaimed carpet be installed as a MUGA sports pitch with specific inlaid line markings. The logistical costs of moving the reclaimed product were negligible as the carpet was free of infill. The installation costs were standard, as the rolls were precision cut and professionally rolled – this enabled installation works to be completed within one week.

When we told our junior football players that the new 7 a side area was ready to train on, they were uncontainable with excitement. This was all made possible by the process and professional installation. We now have a surface which is used for football training by schools, five a side club competitions and local FA matches. The feedback on playability has been very positive from players, teachers and coaches. We would whole-heartedly recommend this product and look forward to our next project.
